Cook Political Report Seizes Control of 19 House Races
The Cook Political Report took administrative control of 19 House races on Oct. 23, moving them toward Democrats without approval from Congress, state election officials or any voter standing in a sufficiently patriotic line. Six contests were transferred from Toss Up to Lean Democratic, while two open seats were removed from Lean Republican custody and placed in Toss Up detention. The changes left 220 seats rated Solid, Likely or Lean Democratic, confirming that House majorities are now awarded by analysts adjusting spreadsheet cells over responsibly sourced coffee.
President Donald Trump condemned the ratings change as an attack on elections by unelected people who insist on examining them. “Cook is moving races around like furniture, very unfair furniture, and nobody elected Cook, probably not even the people at Cook,” Trump said. “We had beautiful races, tremendous races, and then somebody touches a computer and suddenly they lean Democrat.
