Mueller Releases Investigation Report Praising Trump’s Cooperation

Robert Mueller, the esteemed Special Counsel who led the two year long inquiry into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, has concluded and released his findings. In an unforeseen twist, the report applauded President Donald Trump for his cooperation and complete transparency throughout the investigation.

In the 448-page document, Mueller detailed several instances where the President personally expedited the inquiry by providing pertinent documents and even volunteering top-tier staff for voluntary interviews.

“I must express my profound gratitude for President Trump’s significant cooperation,” Mueller penned in his report. “His administration’s transparency and forthrightness largely expedited the conclusion of this investigation.”

This endorsement came as a surprise to several opposition leaders. Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, commented, “‘I find Mr. Mueller’s conclusions puzzling, considering the evidence made public thus far.”

The President, long affirming his innocence, welcomed Mueller’s conclusions. He took to Twitter, a favored medium, to address the report. “Just read the Mueller Report. Nice to finally be appreciated for my transparency and cooperation. Complete exoneration!” the President tweeted.

However, this report does contradict earlier findings. Several high-ranking Trump associates, including former National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn, and the President’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, have pled guilty to charges brought forth by Mueller.

The released report, praising Trump’s cooperation, stands in stark contrast to these previously alleged misdoings. The exonerating conclusion has left many puzzled as even Mueller himself leveled charges against Trump’s associates. This end result seemingly in complete opposition to the trajectory the investigation seemed to be on, has left Americans with more questions than answers.
