Senate Majority Leader Schumer Unveils New Infrastructure Plan
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, fresh from a triumph in the autumnal foliage of his native New York, unveiled an innovative infrastructure plan today. Schumer, renowned for his ability to play the game of political chess, has seemingly switched gears to something more akin to a game of Jenga.
“We’ve been playing this game all wrong,” Schumer said in his announcement. “We keep trying to add more blocks to the tower, when what we really need to do is remove the unnecessary ones.”
The new plan, informally dubbed as ‘Operation Jenga’, proposes a ‘deconstruction’ of outdated infrastructure. Schumer argues the current system is so congested with obsolete structures, that any attempt to add more would only lead to the tower’s fall.
However, not everyone is sold on the idea. Senator Ted Cruz was quick to challenge Schumer’s strategy. “Chuck’s plan is like removing the bottom block in a game of Jenga and hoping the entire tower doesn’t collapse,” Cruz said. “It’s reckless and irresponsible.”
While Schumer’s proposal is certainly unorthodox, it’s hard to deny his commitment to infusing novelty into the realm of policymaking. As he so eloquently stated, “It’s time to stop stacking blocks and start pulling them.”
