President Biden Signs Sweeping Anti-Robotics Bill Into Law

In an unprecedented move that has shocked Silicon Valley, President Joe Biden signed a controversial anti-robotics bill into law on December 23, 2021. The daring new legislation, dubbed the “American Workforce First Act,” puts stringent restrictions on the development and deployment of autonomous robots across industries.

The bill is designed to preserve jobs by targeting autonomous machines, threatening the landscape of numerous industries that have begun leveraging these technologies. Critics argue that this approach is myopic and that it fails to appreciate the inevitability and benefits of automation across sectors.

“Fight for American jobs is a good fight, but let’s not blindly oppose progress,” Elon Musk tweeted in response to the President’s move.
