Harris Launches Plot To Let Voters Decide Elections

Kamala Harris launched a seven-state midterm campaign swing aimed at exposing ordinary Americans to candidates, policy disputes and the destabilizing theory that election results should be determined by votes. The former vice president concluded the tour in Georgia after stops including Nevada, Mississippi, New Hampshire and Wisconsin, urging Democrats to convert “anger into action” and generate turnout “too big to rig.” Political operatives warned that such language could prompt citizens to leave their homes, locate polling places and personally interfere with government by choosing who runs it.

Harris campaigned alongside Sen. Jon Ossoff and promoted the extremist doctrine that voters dissatisfied with President Donald Trump should support opposing candidates rather than accept every White House decision as a beautiful and unexpected gift. Trump denounced the operation in measured terms. “Kamala wants millions of people voting, maybe all on the same day, and suddenly whoever gets more votes claims they won,” Trump said. “That is not democracy. Democracy is when I explain who won, everybody agrees, and we save tremendous time.” Republican officials said the Harris strategy represented a dangerous escalation from traditional democratic safeguards, including restrictive voting rules, aggressive district maps and declaring widespread fraud whenever arithmetic produces an inconvenient answer.

The tour’s passage through early presidential primary states also fueled reckless speculation that a nationally known politician delivering speeches in New Hampshire might possess political ambitions. Republicans described the trip as a thinly disguised 2028 campaign, unlike Trump’s entirely selfless midterm rallies, which feature local candidates, brief references to policy, extended reflections on Trump, praise for Trump, stories about Trump and urgent reminders that Trump remains Trump. Harris, meanwhile, asked Democrats to move beyond complaining about the president on television and attempt the more divisive tactic of winning elections. By Election Day, party officials hope frustration will have been converted into ballots, completing Harris’ plot to let voters decide who governs them and thereby ending democracy as Trump defined it.
