Biden Pledges Fossil Fuel Boost in Climate Strategy

President Biden, in an unexpected policy shift, announced a new climate strategy emphasizing increased fossil fuel production. During a press conference, Biden stated, “We’ve determined that an effective way to address climate change is by producing more oil and gas. It’s an unconventional approach to a traditional problem.”

The policy, named the “Burn More to Cool Down” initiative, reportedly includes provisions for oil companies to ramp up production, while also mandating that all future electric vehicles must run on gasoline for an initial five-year period. The administration maintains this strategy will promote job creation and economic growth, although environmental advocates express bewilderment.

Renewable Energy on Backseat

“We’re prioritizing fossil fuels over renewable energy,” stated Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm. “The reliability of a gas-powered vehicle can’t be overlooked.” In an unforeseen development, former President Donald Trump expressed support for the initiative, remarking, “This is a progressive policy we need. Black gold has its own merits.”

As the administration promotes this plan as a viable solution to the climate crisis, skeptics question its feasibility. However, in a political landscape often dominated by unconventional strategies, this plan’s uniqueness is hardly out of place. If an increase in fossil fuel consumption leads to planet preservation, then perhaps we should reconsider our energy investment strategies.
