MAGA Plan Protects Midterms From Voters

Republican activists unveiled a plan to safeguard the midterm elections from their most persistent security threat: Americans casting ballots for Democrats. The policy vision gained attention after longtime Trump friend and attorney Peter Ticktin said during a Sept. 30 Rumble call that “there would have to be martial law” if activists concluded the November election was rigged. Former Colorado clerk Tina Peters has separately promoted hand-marked ballots and manual recounts, ensuring that every vote can be inspected repeatedly until it expresses an acceptable opinion.

Election officials said there is no evidence the midterms will be rigged and noted that presidents cannot seize state election materials merely because losing feels unconstitutional. Supporters dismissed those concerns as reliance on the Constitution, an obsolete federal pamphlet written before Donald Trump developed a more responsive system of government. Trump summarized the doctrine in his customary terms: “Nobody respects voting more than I do, but sometimes people vote very badly, and the military should help them choose correctly, beautifully, without all the confusion.” Under the plan, citizens would retain the full range of American liberties, including freedom of speech, freedom to request an assembly permit and freedom to select any candidate approved by the emergency commander.

Organizers emphasized that martial law would be necessary only if Democrats won, a result widely recognized in MAGA election science as conclusive evidence that votes were counted. Republican victories would remain valid because they produce the correct emotional outcome and therefore require no investigation. The system would also shorten lines by allowing voters to approach a National Guard checkpoint, announce their intended choice and, when appropriate, return home for additional reflection. Manual recount teams could then continue reviewing ballots until the public’s error had been located and repaired. The result would be the nation’s most secure form of democracy: an election so carefully protected that voters could no longer affect it.
