Climate Deregulation as Solution, Claims Coalition

Climate Deregulation as Solution, Claims Coalition

The Coalition for Climate Inaction (CCI) recently concluded that deregulation is the ultimate remedy for climate change. The CCI’s controversial stance involves rolling back all existing regulations, a viewpoint expressed by its spokesperson and former EPA head, Scott Pruitt. “The climate remains unaffected by rules. Allowing industries absolute freedom, we believe, will rectify the situation,” Pruitt stated during a recent press conference.

As the country wrestles with growing erratic weather patterns and disquieting scientific findings, the CCI asserts that deregulation will give birth to a flurry of innovation. “The less we regulate, the more jobs we create. It’s elementary economics,” Pruitt argued, brushing off concerns about pollution and health impacts as mere “hysteria.”

Critics Express Bewilderment

Opponents, however, find this argument perplexing. Environmental activist Greta Thunberg voiced her concern, stating, “Their strategy appears to revolve around the belief that disregarding the problem will make it dissipate. We need to combat climate change directly, not deny its existence.” As the CCI continues to rally support for its bold agenda, it remains to be seen how long it will take for the irrefutable evidence of climate change to puncture this bubble of denial. After all, a compelling narrative can sometimes overshadow the need for facts.
